Dear Visitor ji,

It is always a pleasure to review our achievements in a successful year and anxiously waiting for a challenging year ahead. Year 2018 was an exciting year to provide a collective community representation on behalf of the FINACT and its member associations.
Having a look at the snapshot, FINACT made a submission to Australian Parliamentary Constitutional Review Committee on “Participation and Abuse of Dowry in Australia” and attended the committee enquiry on 3rd December. AusIndia Fair was organised for the first time in Canberra with an aim to promote inclusiveness of Indian diaspora. FINACT T-20 Cricket tournament was organised very smoothly with sixteen teams and it has become one of the biggest community sports tournaments in ACT.
FINACT joined hands with United Indian Associations in NSW to organise a 10-day “Walk for Australian Farmers” to show the community solidarity towards the Australian communities. FINACT raised significant funds for Australian Helpers to support farmers. FINACT also supported “Stand with Kerala” when unprecedented floods created havoc in the state of Kerala. FINACT Constitution Amendments were realised to ensure a smooth governance of the organisation and empower the communities.
Year 2019 is going to be much more exciting with several new initiatives for the community. AusIndia 2019 is planned to be on 30 March at Stage 88, Commonwealth Park. FINACT will be serving to empower the communities by organising an Induction of Students, Drive to Build Community Facilities, Celebration of 150th Year of Mahatma Gandhi, Community Harmony Day and create many more opportunities.
MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR
On behalf of Indian communities in ACT, I would like to greet everyone to have very best holiday season and rejuvenate your energies to harness many opportunities in the New Year.
Please drive safe, spend the well-earned holiday with your family & friends and enjoy the celebrations.

The program that was fully stage managed by the senior most batch of the CTS, showed the prowess, confidence and the comfort of speaking in their mother tongue. Be it the Karagattam, Mayilattam or the stage kits, quiz or dances the children showed that they understand and respect the culture they belong to.

Sponsorship Appreciated for FINACT Events
We understand that one of the main reasons to sponsor a tournament and any event could be to promote one’s business and generate goodwill in the community. Sponsoring the FINACT events will give you brand recognition among the fastest-growing community group of Indians in the ACT and increase sales or traffic to sponsor’s website through their banner on our website (www.finact.net.au ).
Indians are the fastest growing population in Australia. This has resulted in increased air traffic between India and Australia; increased telecommunication; and enhanced trade and cultural ties. Players and their supporters make playing cricket a fiercely competitive and memorable event. They will promote the game and use your services to show their appreciation.
In addition to providing an excellent opportunity to connect with the Indian sub-continent communities, the FINACT events' sponsorship will:
- enable them to reach out to wider community groups in ACT and surrounds
