FINACT Launch on 31 July

This is to inform you all that the FINACT Executive committee (EC) had met early this week and made final plans with regard to the preparation of the FINACT official launch. On behalf of the EC, I take esteemed pleasure in announcing that the Launch will be held on July 31st Sunday at the Theo Notaras Function Centre, Civic from 4.30PM onwards. The event will be enriched by the presence of several prominent figures, along with cultural performances by talented artists. I believe we all can be proud of the formation of our great Organisation, and this launch is truly an occasion to celebrate and rejoice the triumph of its foundation and to reflect our journey towards its accomplishment.

 

FINACT Patron

Dear all,

 

As per the General Council (GC) decision on May 15th regarding the Patron position, the FINACT Executive Committee met with the Hon Joy Burch MLA, the ACT Minister for Multicultural Affairs to offer our formal request to be the Patron of FINACT. We are very pleased to inform you that the Hon Minister has agreed to take up the position as the Patron of FINACT and had expressed her gratitude in nominating her to that role.

FINACT Incorporation

It is with much joy that the Executive Committee will like to  announce the successful incorporation of FINACT.  Further to your valuable inputs and prior to incorporation, the FINACT constitution was further subjected to both legal and corporate governance advice.  Based on the recommendations, some minor amendments were made to the constitution to enable incorporation.  A copy of the final version is attached for your reference.

DIAC meeting outcomes

I am not quite certain whether the majority of our Community is aware of all these various Government assistance and programs.
