I’m absolutely delighted to once again give my congratulations and best wishes to the Federation of Indian Associations of the ACT’s executive and members taking part in this year’s T-20 Tournament.
Since the establishment of FINACT, they have played an important role in bringing Indian and Australian communities together through social activities such as the T-20 Tournament. Bringing likeminded people together is often the best way of creating a strong community, and FINACT is a great example of this simple recipe.
Cricket plays an integral part in everyday life in both India and Australia. It is India’s number one sport and helps forge the great bond between our countries. Not only is the tournament a way to combine communities but also a way to promote healthy living and exercise.
Once again I congratulate the FINACT executive and participating members on bringing this fantastic initiative to the city of Canberra and good luck to all those involved.
