Assam Community joins FINACT

Dear all,

After the successful FINACT T-20 Cricket Tournament, and the inaugural Tendulkar- Akram shield match between India and Pakistan,  I would like to share another good news with you that the Assamese community in Canberra have expressed their interest in joining with FINACT as a member organisation and be part of our activities.

As the peak body of all the Indian Associations, the joining of yet another community group further highlights the role and relevance of FINACT and complement with its core mission which is to bring together all the Indian community  groups under one umbrella and to have a unified voice. Let’s continue to uphold and promote that spirit of unity and coherence amongst our community.  Congratulations Akash and the Assamese community in deciding to join FINACT.  A formal decision to this regard will be made at the next General Council meeting.

This will bring the total number of FINACT member organisations to 22 and will be the largest Indian Federation of any states in Australia.

Kind Regards

Jacob Vadakkedathu

President, FINACT
