I write to wish the Federation of Indian Associations of the ACT every success for this year’s fourth annual T-20 cricket tournament.
This is one of the rare years where both Australia and India have sat atop the ICC Test Team Rankings. The result belies a level of performance that is testament to our mutual passion for the sport and the spirit in which it is played.
It is through events like the T-20 tournament, as well as the Diwali Festival of Lights and the Multicultural Festival, that Canberra’s active Indian community can continue to be celebrated and to flourish.
I wish the tournament organisers the best of luck for another successful event and offer my congratulations to everyone involved.
