FINACT is privileged to organise an interactive session of NRIs and Indian diaspora with Chief Election Commissioner of India Mr Nazim Zaidi and Deputy CEC Mr Umesh Sinha on 30 June 2016.
It was an honour to organise an informal dinned with CEC, Deputy CEC, High Commissioner of India and other leaders of Indian Diaspora in Australia.
I would like to bring to your kind attention that the Chief Election Commissioner of India (CEC), Dr. Nasim Zaidi and Dy Chief Election Commissioner, Mr. Umesh Kumar Sinha, would be visiting Canberra on Jun 30, on invitation from the Australian Electoral Commissioner.
We recollect that the Election Commission had, a few weeks back, circulated the details of how an overseas elector [NRI] could have himself registered with the Electoral Registration Officer of his Constituency.
More on this aspect is available on our website at the url:http://www.hcindia-au.org/registration-abroad.htm.
To discuss these issues further, FINACT has organised an interactive evening with the CEC and the community members, Indian students and the interested Indian Diaspora of ACT.
You are invited for this interactive session at:
Venue: National Library of Australia Conference Room. Parkes Place, Canberra ACT 2600.
Date and Time: Thursday 30 June 2016 from 5.30 pm – 7.00 pm
You will have an opportunity to talk to Chief Election Commissioner of India (CEC), Dr. Nasim Zaidi and High Commissioner of India His Excellency Mr Navdeep Suri.
Regards,
Amardeep Singh
