Federation of Indian Associations of ACT (FINACT) is an apex umbrella body that provides collective representation for 27 member organisations of various communities and groups of the Indian diaspora in the ACT and a responsive channel of communication.
FINACT is organising a Dinner on 17 November 2019 to recognise achievements, felicitate esteemed members of the Indian diaspora and to farewell Dr Professor Deep Saini who is leaving Australia to join a new position in January 2020.

Dr Krishna Nadimpalli for receiving the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) 2019 for service to multiculturalism in the ACT.
Dr Dharmendra Sharma for receiving the Member of the Order of Australia (AM) 2019 for significant service to higher education and computer science.
Mr Deepak-Raj Gupta – MLA on becoming a MLA in the ACT Legislative Assembly in 2019.

It is also a matter of pride that three members of FINACT received recognition in the 2019 ACT Multicultural Awards:
Mr Rattesh Gumber nominated as ACT Multicultural Honorary Ambassador
Dr Madhumita Iyengar received commendation for ACT Multicultural Individual Champion Award
Dr Sunita S Dhindsa received commendation for ACT Outstanding Excellence Award for Diversity and Inclusion
