Sakhi – A candid conversations

FINACT organised the second SAKHI event on the 29th of Oct which was a great success! Organised through an ACT Health grant for mental health month, the event was attended by more than 100 women who shared their love for music and dance (including a bollywood fitness routine!), and had candid conversations about self care, support systems, recognising and managing mental health in family members including children, and managing premenstrual syndrome and menopause. Connections forged at these events help expand our circle of friends and build confidence in our cultural identity.

We heard the story behind creation of Sakhi from our women’s rep Dipti Talaulikar and of future plans from FINACT secretary Priyanka Mishra and AMAN Chair Radha Ravi.

We would like to thank all our Volunteer sakhis for giving up their time and effort to organise this event including our MC Aradhna who ensured the conversation flowed and everyone remained entertained.
