This is to inform you all that the arrangement for the Inaugural FINACT T-20 Cricket Tournament has been finalised. The theme of the tournament is One community- One team where teams will be formed under the banner of their respective States. Pleased to inform you that the Draws to select the teams of each group for the FINACT T-20 Cricket Tournament was taken place on Monday (19 December) at the Bradman Room at the Manuka Oval. The Draws were done by Hon. ACT Cricket CEO Mr. Mark Vergano.
The draws were taken in a sequence of 4 for the First Group and 4 for the Second Group which allowed to decide Team A, Team B, Team C and Team D in each Group . Please see the below teams in each group based on the draw.

TEAM A – TAMIL NADU (Turbo Tamils)
TEAM B – BENGAL (Bengal Tigers)
TEAM C – DELHI (Delhi Strikers)
TEAM D – KARNATAKA (Karnataka Capitals)
GROUP B –
TEAM A – KERALA (Kerala Fireballs)
TEAM B – ANDHRA PRADESH (TAC Team)
TEAM C – ASSAM (Assam Rhinos)
TEAM D – GUJARAT (Gujarat Masters).
Location of the ovals:
Palmerston 103 Oval: Kosciuszko Avenue, Palmerston school, Palmerston. The nearest corner street is Bollard st.
Nicholls 203 Oval: Gungahlin Drive, Nicholls (First left, after you cross the Horsepark round about while going away from city).
As mentioned earlier, the tournament will be sponsored by ‘Colliers International’. Former New Zealand Cricket Great Mr. Chris Cairns who is one of the Senior Executives of Colliers Group represent the Sponsor company. Please be informed that all the cricket equipments for the tournament will be provided by Colliers.
The Final match of the tournament will be played at Manuka Oval.

2. Tournament date: 5 February 2012 – 26 February 2012
3. Number of teams: 8 teams. on a “One Community- One Team” theme base.
4. Preliminary rounds venue: Nicholls Oval & Palmerston Oval
5. Finals venue– Manuka Oval
6. Awards to be given:
a) Man of the Match
b) Man of the Series
c) Best Batsman
d) Best Bowler
e) FINACT Eleven: Committee decided to select FINACT eleven at the end of the tournament consists of the top 11 players of the tournament based on their performance. Mementos & awards to be presented to each of those players.
Please be advised that the Tournament committee is also organising a T-20 match between Indian community team and Pakistan team in the following week. The FINACT eleven will be representing the Indian team for this match. Colliers are sponsoring this match too.
